Built around the actual product requirements

Save first. Organize later. Keep it on device.

Pinovo is for people who keep saving reels, posts, articles, job links, references, and other URLs from apps like X, Instagram, LinkedIn, GitHub, Safari, and Messages, then lose track of why they saved them or where to find them later. The product focuses on cross-app URL categorization, practical retrieval, and reminders that bring saved content back at the right time from one place.

  • No account required
  • Unlimited local saving in MVP
  • One place for saves across apps

The need

Saved content usually breaks at the moment people need it back.

Capture is fragmented

People save URLs from X, Instagram, LinkedIn, GitHub, Safari, Messages, and other apps, but those saves end up spread across tabs, notes, DMs, bookmarks, and separate “saved” lists that do not work together.

Retrieval is weak

A long list of saved links is not a system. People need source, category, notes, save date, favorites, and reminder state to remember what something was and why it mattered.

Privacy expectations are higher

A personal archive should remain useful offline and should not force sign-in, sync, or AI processing just to support core save, search, and reminder workflows.

How Pinovo addresses it

A calm archive instead of a noisy inbox.

The product is structured around a simple rule: saving should be immediate and durable, while enrichment can happen afterward. That keeps the archive useful even when metadata, network access, or optional smart layers are unavailable.

1

Save now, structure later

Share-sheet imports and manual add flows create durable URL items first. Metadata and source refinement can happen after capture without blocking the save itself.

2

Cross-app categorization

Source labels come from domains, canonical URLs, and app context instead of a brittle fixed platform list. That makes it easier to understand whether a save came from X, Instagram, LinkedIn, GitHub, or somewhere else on the web.

3

One place to use it later

The home feed, search, collections, favorites, notes, and reminder states are designed to make saved links recognizable, filterable, and ready to revisit without jumping back across multiple apps.

4

A real follow-up system

Saving something is only useful if you can act on it later. Pinovo adds reminders and structured retrieval so important saved URLs do not disappear into a pile of forgotten content.

Current version

What the app already supports today.

Capture and storage

  • iOS share-handoff import for text, URLs, and files
  • In-app add flow currently best aligned with links and notes
  • Current product story centers on URL capture and organization
  • Durable local database for saved items, reminders, and metadata jobs

Library and retrieval

  • Home feed of recent items
  • Local search across title, URL, notes, and collection metadata
  • Favorites, category-based collections, and custom collection names
  • Item detail editing for title, source, collection, and notes

Metadata and reminders

  • Dynamic source detection from domain and canonical URL
  • Asynchronous URL metadata fetch with retry on failure
  • Local reminders with notification permission handling
  • Reminder state visible in the library and item detail views

MVP product stance

  • No account required for core usage
  • Cloud sync not enabled in the current MVP
  • Delete-all-local-data action available in settings
  • Theme, spacing, and components already aligned to a reusable design system

Upcoming features

The roadmap follows the functional and non-functional requirements.

Next product layer

Polished v1 features

  • Archive support, sort options, and multiple library views
  • Retryable richer metadata and clearer job states
  • Richer privacy and metadata controls in settings
  • Transparent future Pro upgrade surfaces without gating core saving

Smart layer

Optional intelligence, not required value

  • AI title and category suggestions with editable outputs
  • OCR for scanned images and documents
  • Smart reminder suggestions and rediscovery flows
  • Provider isolation so failures never block saving

Privacy and sync

Controlled expansion

  • Opt-in cloud sync and documented backup export/import
  • Per-item lock, full app lock, and stronger protection for sensitive fields
  • Privacy-preserving analytics and explicit disclosure for any external processing
  • Deterministic sync conflict handling before multi-device rollout

Platform and scale

Operational quality targets

  • Responsive search and smooth feeds at archive scale
  • Reliable reminder recovery and durable migrations
  • Shared, reusable components and isolated platform integrations
  • Android expansion after iOS quality and architecture gates are met

Product position

Pinovo is not trying to do everything in v1.

The current build focuses on dependable capture, local ownership, and retrieval that works without accounts or cloud assumptions. Advanced layers such as AI, OCR, sync, locking, and Android are planned as explicit additions rather than hidden dependencies.
